As a Night Auditor at Home2 Suites East Hanover, you will be the main point of contact for our guests during the overnight hours. Your responsibilities will include maintaining overall hotel operations, reconciling and posting all revenues from the previous day, and ensuring every guest is greeted and welcomed in a unique and personable way upon arrival.

You will be responsible for booking guest hotel reservations, registering guests to the hotel, verifying reservation and personal information, and securing payment information. You will also be responsible for answering and routing calls as appropriate, taking guest messages with accuracy, and promoting the brand loyalty program and providing recognition and benefits to all present members.

In addition, you will anticipate guests' needs and respond timely, efficiently, and in a friendly manner. You will assist in resolving guest complaints regarding service and/or accommodations, whether handling on your own or elevating to managerial level.

You will be responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions during your shift, maintaining accurate records including cash flows, registration cards, reservation cards, and property walks. You will also process all market and retail transactions for the guests, assist in handling mail and other electronic communication, and provide guests with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.

You will maintain appropriate market inventory levels, restocking when necessary, and handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school graduate or GED, knowledge of front desk operations and procedures, guest services, and hotel services. You will also need to be proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, and have the ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment.

You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office products and brand operating systems. You will also need to be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.

You will need to have high school graduate level mathematical aptitude, knowledge of standard cash handling procedures, and knowledge of computerized cash register systems. You will also need to demonstrate genuine care for customers and employees, and be comfortable conversing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at all organizational levels.
