About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Principal Psychiatrist, providing clinical administrative and supervisory functions, as well as direct care psychiatric services. As a board-certified advanced clinician, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing treatments for patients with psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and diagnose patients with psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse disorders
- Prescribe and conduct psychotherapy, medications, and other treatments
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide direct care
- Participate in monitoring delivery of healthcare services
- Consult with clinical staff regarding assessment methods and treatment plans
- Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- License to practice medicine and surgery in Connecticut
