We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at DHR Health. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment as needed.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and administering local anesthesia.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Certification as a Surgical Technician or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Basic life support certification and ability to respond to emergency situations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience working in an operating room setting.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods.
