We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in the development of reagent kits and consumables for SCIEX Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) systems. As a key member of our R&D Chemistry Applications team, you will be responsible for carrying out continuous, rapid cadence new product and workflow development of reagent kits and consumables for SCIEX CE systems.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and execute independent research to develop novel chemistries and improved workflows for CE applications.
- Collaborate with scientists to develop and test gels for capillary electrophoresis applications.
- Work with hardware and software research teams to evaluate chemistries with CE systems for innovative workflows.
- Conduct original and independent research, presenting results in presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and invention disclosures.
- Support new product development, design transfer to manufacturing, and product sustainment.
- Provide scientific and technical support to internal and external customers and collaborators.
- Deep knowledge of capillary electrophoresis and applications in large molecules (DNA, RNA, Proteins).
- Extensive experience in the Pharmaceutical/Bioanalytical industry with an emphasis on capillary gel electrophoresis.
- Masters degree in Chemistry or Bioanalytical chemistry with greater than 5 years or Ph.D. with minimum 2 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Bioanalytical industry with an emphasis on capillary gel electrophoresis.
- Ability to work with stakeholders and follow QMS processes related to chemistry and consumables development.
- Experience with troubleshooting of CE instrumentation and software within the overall workflow is a plus.
- Knowledge and previous experience in Mass spectrometry, Microfluidics, Liquid chromatography, and Broad experience in analytical chemistry.
