About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Elevator Technician to join our team at Kings III of America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing and servicing emergency phone equipment for our customers in the area market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and/or service emergency phone equipment for customers in the area market
  • Work independently in the field, completing daily assigned routes and maintaining inventory and tools on your truck
  • Communicate regularly with customers, field supervisors, installation coordinators, sales team members, and other stakeholders to gauge the scope of work and provide full service on the first visit to the customer
  • Be adaptable to work within the demands of changes in routes and work plans as needed
  • Provide quality customer service, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and accurate and complete work
Requirements
  • Two years of experience installing and/or repairing elevator telephone and emergency telephone equipment
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current and valid Elevator Mechanic License
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to customers, supervisors, teammates, and installation coordinators, and other teams
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to schedule work and coordinate with customers
  • Ability to manage installation projects and complete in a timely manner
  • Technical fluency to work on a laptop or tablet and process electronic work orders
  • Ability to track and maintain tools and inventory counts on truck
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to travel throughout the area, different sites, cities, or states as needed
  • Overnight travel as needed
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
Physical Demands
  • Kneeling several times a day - up to 10 minutes at a time
  • Squatting repeatedly for up to 10 minutes at a time
  • Walking - an average of 2 miles a day
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Reaching and working over your head for 3 to 5 minutes at a time
  • Able to carry, climb, and perform work on a 6-foot ladder
  • Able to work outside in heat, or cold, or inclement weather for periods of time throughout the day
