Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a RN at MyMichigan Health, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share your commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care.
Process physician/provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner, and follow up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make suggestions or facilitate changes to improve patient care.
Actively participate in updating and revising treatment plans in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information.
Requirements:
Knowledge of nursing skills as normally acquired through completion of at least an Associate's Degree in Nursing and licensure in the State of Michigan.
Knowledge of nursing technique as normally acquired through 2 years experience working in the medical center or similar setting.
Weekend RN positions require a minimum of two years experience.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief, and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s).
Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Some exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health blood-borne pathogen and TB testing as required.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 21-50 lbs., frequently 34-66% of the workday 20 lbs. and or Walk/Stand/Push/Pull of Arm/Leg controls and constantly (67-100% or the workday) 10 lbs.
