Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our department, including supervising and training team members, receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train team members to ensure excellent customer service and efficient department operations
- Receive, store, and stock merchandise, including checking dates and changing pricing of items going out of code
- Assemble and mix ingredients, package and wrap baked goods, and clean display cases and floors
- Ensure all work surfaces, tools, and equipment are clean and sanitized
- Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have valid identification
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively to complete job duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations
- Must be 18 years of age and complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days
- Must meet company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance and meeting ergonomic and physical requirements
