This position requires the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion, ensuring strict compliance with established policies and procedures, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of branch operational protocols to ensure security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily branch operations, sales management, and the development of retail branch personnel.
- Exhibit leadership in managing the daily functions of the branch.
- Evaluate and authorize consumer loans within the designated lending authority.
- Facilitate the processing of small business loans.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to support relationship management efforts.
- Utilize sales management and organizational expertise to align with the bank's relationship management objectives.
- Drive branch production and growth initiatives.
- Meet assigned sales targets.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and team huddles.
- Implement effective talent management strategies, including coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations for branch staff.
- Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
- Represent the bank at community events and functions, leveraging opportunities to promote the institution and foster new business relationships.
- Comply with SAFE Act regulations when functioning as a mortgage loan originator.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED with additional studies in business, banking, or finance preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail branch banking.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking products and services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn job-specific software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven customer service and sales experience.
- Maintain registration with the federal registry system (NMLS) and uphold a good standing status under SAFE Act requirements, including maintaining the unique identifier number when acting as a mortgage loan originator.
