Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Banner Health Payson. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling and organizing instruments and supplies, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments and retract tissue during procedures.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure, and dispose of sharps and trash properly.
  • Assist with OR turnover between cases, and participate in stocking, replenishing supplies, and cleaning operating rooms.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned.
  • May provide business support to the department, including administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Proficient to scrub on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
