Position: Structural Project Manager - Bridge
We are currently seeking a Structural Project Manager to join our expanding team. This role is designed for experienced professionals who thrive on engaging in challenging and complex projects, with ample opportunities for career advancement. In this position, you will lead project teams in the planning, design, and execution of transportation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management abilities and a solid background in bridge design. You will have the chance to work on a variety of infrastructure projects for various clients, including state departments of transportation and local agencies. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and developing junior structural engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project management activities, including budget oversight, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Direct and manage project budgets and execution, supervising assigned staff and subcontractors.
- Guide and mentor the professional growth of developing structural engineers.
- Contribute to structural design efforts as a technical reviewer or advisor.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality control procedures, documentation, and project tracking.
- Engage in business development and marketing activities, including networking and proposal preparation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required; Structural Engineer (SE) License in Illinois preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in roadway bridge design, with management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with IDOT, ISTHA, and CDOT preferred; experience with local municipalities is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in client interactions.
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and produce deliverables that are thorough and ready for review.
