We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various facilities within a 150-mile radius from their home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is dedicated to providing quality care and services to seniors in a Christian environment. As a Travel LPN, you will have the opportunity to work in different locations while maintaining a stable residence.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for residents in the relevant clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize appropriate age and population-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of residents as per care plans.
  • Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of residents' status and provide the care needed.
  • Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
  • Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
  • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required: graduation from a Board-approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
  • Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Salary and Location

The estimated salary range for this position is $25.25-$38.00 per hour, depending on location and experience. The job requires working in various facilities within a 150-mile radius from the employee's home address.
