Your Role

You'll be part of a cross-functional product team building and launching products that remove friction from commercial insurance. Your users will be commercial insurance agents and insurance carriers who will use your work every day to efficiently provide commercial insurance for small business owners.

• Develop and maintain powerful APIs used by agents to quote and bind policies for small business owners.
• Write clean, well-tested code and automated unit tests using Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, retrospective, and daily stand-ups.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, site-reliability engineers, and customers to build powerful, impactful products.
• Be a passionate, delivery-focused member of the product team who can build resilient, high-quality features.
• Integrate with third-party APIs to generate real-time quotes.
• Contribute to the full lifecycle of the software development life cycle from ideation to delivery.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

About You

Experience with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React is required. Previous working experience in high-growth technology companies and/or startups is highly valued.

• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
• Previous working experience in high-growth technology companies and/or startups.
• Understanding of scrum, unit testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, especially in Ruby on Rails.
• Previous work experience in insurance and/or experience with policy rating is very desirable.
• Bonus points for full-stack expertise in multiple tiers of modern web applications (e.g., front end, back end, infrastructure, etc.).
