Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Project Manager for PLAE. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of multiple projects simultaneously. Your primary objective will be to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires exceptional project management skills, technical expertise in flooring and fitness equipment installations, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including project scope, goals, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and specifications are clearly defined and understood.
- Establish project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to project plans, safety standards, and quality assurance.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and problem-solving among team members.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve project-related issues, mitigate risks, and address change orders.
- Resource Management:
- Identify project resource requirements and allocate personnel, equipment, and materials accordingly.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of required materials and equipment.
- Optimize resource utilization, manage subcontractor relationships, and negotiate contracts to achieve cost efficiency and project success.
- Quality Control and Safety Compliance:
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and address any deviations or deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, develop and enforce site-specific safety plans, and promote a culture of safety among project team members.
- Project Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and key milestones.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and records of communication.
- Conduct thorough project closeout processes, including final inspections, punch lists, and warranty documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on design-build projects related to flooring and fitness equipment installations.
- Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and fitness equipment specifications.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple concurrent projects with varying levels of complexity and size.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading project teams to achieve project goals.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
- Thorough understanding of construction industry regulations, codes, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are a plus.
