Job Description:
In this role, you will collect blood specimens, receive, handle, and process specimens for laboratory testing. You will also receive, sort, and access specimens, assigning them to appropriate pre-analytic and analytic workflow. Additionally, you will complete computerized tasks related to patient registration and/or test order entry, specimen collection, receiving, and processing. Your duties will also include performing basic post-analytic tasks, such as distributing reports, storing, and retrieving specimens, as well as completing quality-related tasks like documentation of work, maintaining a clean, stocked, and safe work area, and monitoring pending work.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Education/GED or equivalent, with Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred. Additionally, you will need to hold a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPTI) license and be able to operate and/or use basic pre-analytic lab equipment. As a member of our team, you will adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
