Position Summary: As an Assistant Culinary Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall success of our culinary program and managing kitchen operations. This position involves supporting all aspects of menu planning, procurement, inventory management, and food preparation. You will be expected to adhere to the client’s culture and guidelines, comply with health regulations, and uphold the company’s standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and executing the preparation and cooking of a variety of food items.
- Collaborate on menu planning and development.
- Implement new culinary initiatives in partnership with the marketing and culinary teams.
- Support cost management and monitor expenditures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Experience in various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of food trends with an emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and presentation.
- Ability to prepare and distribute production schedules.
- Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, training, and coaching skills.
- ServSafe or equivalent health certification is preferred.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office, including Excel.
- An Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
