Survey Party Chief

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to lead our field crews in the Southeast region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing field survey operations, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing the project survey plan in a safe and professional manner.
• Overseeing field operations, including periodic reviews of record keeping, field procedures, and survey audits.
• Maintaining accurate and legible field notes.
• Setting and maintaining control networks.
• Performing layouts and managing survey requests and schedules.
• Communicating with supervision to coordinate survey work and ensure completion for field operations.
• Interpreting and organizing data for quality assessments, as-built creation, and quantity verification.
• Maintaining and taking accountability for survey equipment and vehicles.

Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience in Construction Survey, Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, or a related field.
• 3+ years' experience leading field crews.
• Knowledge of various survey instruments, including Robotic Total Station, GPS Rovers and Base Stations, Digital levels, and conventional instruments.
• Ability to read construction plans and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Survey-oriented CAD software.
