We are seeking a skilled Vascular Surgeon to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Locum Vascular Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing coverage for our vascular surgery department.
Job Details- Practice Setting: Our office is equipped with a clinic where you will work 2 days a week, and the rest of the time you will be covering the hospital. You may be required to work weekends.
- Call Ratio: You can expect to work 2-4 call nights per week, which may vary.
- Average Number of Cases Per Day: You will be responsible for an average of 3 cases per day.
- Documentation System/EMR: We use Epic as our documentation system.
- Annual ER Volume: The annual ER volume is unknown.
- Number of Operating Rooms: We have 6 main operating rooms, 2 CVT operating rooms, and a hybrid room with 2 cath labs.
- Description of Ancillary Staff: Our team includes office staff, 3 PSR, 1 surgery scheduler, 2 CMA, 1 LPN, 1 vascular tech, 2 part-time MDs, RN, and a practice manager.
- Required Procedures: You will be required to perform aneurysm repairs, thoracic, abdominal, arterial bypass, peripheral, vascular access devices, and AV shunt procedures.
- Endovascular Surgery Procedures Required: You will be required to perform carotid artery stenting, bypass surgery, femoral popliteal bypass, aortofemoral bypass stenting, endovenous laser therapy treatment, and endovascular and open surgical reconstruction for deep vein occlusions.
- Treatment of: You will be required to treat vascular malformations, median arcuate ligament, and nutcracker syndromes.
- Endovascular Therapy Required: You will be required to perform peripheral artery disease and gangrene of the limbs treatment.
- Board Certified Vascular Surgery: You must be board certified in vascular surgery.
- Active VA License & DEA: You must have an active VA license and DEA.
- BLS/ACLS: You must be certified in BLS/ACLS.
- Clean Background: You must have a clean background for temporary privileges.
- COI Coverage: You must have COI coverage of $2.6M/$7.8M (VA statute limitations).
- ACLS: You must be certified in ACLS.
- Board Certified: You must be board certified.
- BCLS: You must be certified in BCLS.
- Virginia: You must have a valid Virginia license.
- Weekend Requirements: Yes, you will be required to work weekends.
- On-Call Requirements: Yes, you will be required to work on-call shifts.
