Supervising Registered Nurse III Correctional Facility

The Supervising Registered Nurse III Correctional Facility is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a correctional facility nursing services program. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of subordinate supervisors, nurses, and other assigned staff.
- Receive, disseminate, and implement policies and procedures, apply supervisory rules and principles, and assist in the resolution of labor relations issues.
- Set goals for self and others, and ensure the continuity of quality patient care.
- Ensure the implementation of an effective training and competency validation program for nursing services.
- Possession of a current license as a registered nurse in California.
- One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Supervising Registered Nurse II, Correctional Facility, or three years of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Supervising Registered Nurse I, Correctional Facility, or four years of registered nursing experience (within the last ten years) in a licensed general acute care hospital, two years of which must have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
