Position Overview:
The Marketing Specialist will collaborate with the Regional Marketing Director to enhance marketing initiatives within the area, driving sales and revenue growth. Key responsibilities encompass data tracking and presentation, training and motivating front-line representatives and technicians, developing local promotional strategies, assisting with budget management and monthly financial reviews, and organizing community events.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee special projects as designated, managing all phases from planning to execution and reporting.
- Gather and analyze competitive market intelligence.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports related to marketing activities, communications, budgetary considerations, and daily performance metrics.
- Support the development of customer communication materials for both employees and clients.
- Coordinate, edit, and maintain marketing collateral by ensuring accuracy, guiding internal and external contributors, proofreading, and securing necessary approvals.
- Manage tracking of marketing proposals, miscellaneous requests, expenses, content creation, quantity verification, data extraction requests, programming tasks, and other assigned projects.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and incentives tailored for customer service and technical teams.
- Provide coaching and training to customer service and technical personnel on marketing initiatives and offers to meet sales objectives.
- Collaborate closely with personnel across all regional departments, Field Operation Group, Corporate, and external vendors on various projects and initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events, including but not limited to trade shows, open houses, fairs, and other community engagements to promote Mediacom's products and services. This may involve evening and weekend work as well as travel.
- Commitment to job completion may necessitate working beyond 40 hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel is required, along with some evening and weekend work.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of progressive experience in an advertising or marketing role preferred.
- Understanding of competitive market conditions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments accurately and independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
