Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Mays House Call Home Health, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

About the Role

This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing physical therapy services in accordance with the plan of treatment developed by the physical therapist and signed by the physician.

  • Assist physical therapists in treating patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance using appropriate physical therapy treatments, modalities, and procedures.
  • Participate in instructing clients, family members, and other health team personnel in exercise programs developed by the physical therapist for strengthening and controlling lower extremities.
  • Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage, as directed and supervised by the physical therapist.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong educational background in physical therapy assistance and relevant work experience. You should possess excellent observation and communication skills, as well as the ability to deal effectively with stress.

The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the state where the job is located and meet the required continuing education hours for state licensure.
