Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Thermal Engineering intern/co-op to join our team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). As a Thermal Engineering intern/co-op, you will be responsible for conducting competitive analysis, thermal design, modeling, testing, and debug. You will also have the opportunity to work on hands-on system setup and testing, and be trained on PC architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct competitive analysis specifically focusing on cooling, performance, and acoustics.
  • Develop thermal design, modeling, testing, and debug skills.
  • Work on hands-on system setup and testing.
  • Be trained on PC architecture.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 semesters from finalizing degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong background in heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
  • Passion for thermal engineering.
  • Knowledge of key thermal components and new technologies in a computer.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Lab experience and hands-on experience.
