Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Obstetrics is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to postpartum and newborn patients. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as prescribing, delegating, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized patient care to postpartum and newborn patients
  • Assess and diagnose patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as needed
  • Delegate and supervise the activities of ancillary nursing personnel
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as needed
Requirements
  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification
  • Current STABLE certification
