Senior Credit Risk Analyst Job Overview
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst is tasked with conducting comprehensive financial evaluations and underwriting assessments to determine risk levels and oversee ongoing credit relationships with various entities or individuals. This role emphasizes the analysis of substantial and intricate loans or partnerships within designated sectors or geographical areas. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst works closely with junior analysts to support credit evaluations and reports directly to the supervising manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and assess financial spreads using the bank's lending software.
- Construct detailed spreadsheets to evaluate borrower cash flows and assess project feasibility.
- Draft credit memorandums and perform annual assessments in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Participate in loan committee discussions as required.
- Offer guidance and support to junior analysts as necessary.
- Involve junior analysts in credit evaluation tasks, ensuring precision and timely completion of assignments.
- Serve as an alternate for the Regional Manager or other credit analysis leaders in reviewing deliverables.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience, including 4 years in a managerial capacity.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
- Capability to supervise and mentor junior analysts
Work Environment:
The working atmosphere is generally moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and physical demands.
