Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System.

About the Role:

This is a full-time day shift opportunity, and the ideal candidate will be available to work four ten hour days a week (7am-5:30pm). As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will have the opportunity to circulate or scrub in various specialties, including General, Robotics, Bariatrics, Plastics, Orthopedics, Neurovascular, Spine, Thoracic, Urology, and GYN.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and advocate for patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to identify and address potential and actual problems.
  • Evaluate and integrate best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient and family preferences and values for the delivery of optimal healthcare.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and adapt one's own style of communicating to meet the needs of the team and situation.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Registered Nurse - NJ license.
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
  • National Nursing Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing or in pursuit of a BSN.
  • Greater than 15 months professional nursing experience.
