RN Nurse Team Lead

PeaceHealth is seeking a highly skilled RN Nurse Team Lead to join our team in the Recovery Room. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for ensuring professional nursing care is provided to all patients in the clinical nursing unit. This is a part-time, 0.88 FTE, night position that offers additional training and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assign work, plan and manage priorities, provide technical assistance, oversee staff schedules, monitor quality of work, monitor team projects, mentor staff, provide constructive feedback, oversee staff training, ensure quality improvement, and provide leadership feedback on staff performance.
- Direct patient care activities on the unit for the shift by making/adjusting staff assignments that ensures optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and assess clinical practice, direct and delegate other team members, coordinate staffing for the next shift, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs, document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards, direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence, and ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participate in the development of and maintain established hospital policies, procedures, and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention program.
- Education: Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Experience: Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience. Preferred: Previous leadership experience.
- Credentials: Required: Registered Nurse. Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support. Required Upon Hire: Advanced Cardiac Life Support. May be required: Specialty Certification.
This position requires the ability to lift patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices, fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures, push/pull: frequently up to 45 lbs. force, perform hands-on CPR at least 20 mins using lbs. of force, ability to move around area with frequent sitting, bending/stooping/squatting/reaching/kneeling frequently, lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently, exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles, must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment, vision and hearing required within normal limits, ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
