ASRC Federal Field Services is seeking a highly skilled Fire Vehicle Operator to support our Vance AFB Base Operations Support Contract located in Enid, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will possess a state-issued driver's license and be able to maintain a fire apparatus located at Vance AFB and Kegelmen Airfield. The Fire Chief will determine the timeframe for certification. The selected candidate must be certified as a Fire Officer I to drive and/or operate the P-18 and P-26. Additionally, they may be temporarily assigned as Lead Firefighter if properly trained and certified. The Fire Vehicle Operator will assist in training and directing personnel in the knowledge and skills necessary to qualify for future vacancies. They will maintain all fire suppression, rescue, and EMS-related skills required of a firefighter and may perform those related tasks when directed. With the assistance of the maintenance shop, the Fire Vehicle Operator will conduct fire pump service tests on all assigned vehicles. When properly trained, they must be able to pump from various water sources, produce a master stream, complete a resupply operation, and support a sprinkler system. The Fire Vehicle Operator will inspect apparatus to ensure the vehicle is in proper working order and complete inventory checks to validate assigned tools and equipment are present and in good working order. In the absence of the assigned ECC Operator, the position may be required to fill-in to ensure compliance with PWS mandate. The Fire Vehicle Operator will report directly to the assigned vehicle Lead Firefighter. ASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
