Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our IT team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise systems, including data center infrastructure, applications, and cloud-based services. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deploy enterprise applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including application patching, updates, and configuration changes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to improve manageability and reliability.
  • Author functional and technical documentation to support system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Own, triage, and resolve service issues with enterprise applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Communicate technical information to software engineers, project managers, and operations teams to optimize infrastructure and services.
  • Stay current with new technologies, methods, and procedures, applying this knowledge to improve system performance and security.
  • Contribute to application support as a tier 3 escalation resource, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing enterprise applications, including implementation and upgrades.
  • 2+ years of experience creating and maintaining IT scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages) for deployment, orchestration, or automation.
  • Experience managing business-critical applications, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Experience with applications running in Windows Server or Linux environments, including deployment and support of Linux infrastructure.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting Linux environments, with a strong understanding of Linux fundamentals.
  • Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based systems, including Azure and AWS.
  • Experience defining alerts from application monitoring tools, with a focus on proactive issue resolution.
  • Experience with SQL and backend application databases, including database design and optimization.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex system issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
