Job Title: Radar Modeling and Simulation Software Developer

Job Summary:

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a talented Modeling & Simulation Software Developer to join our Radar team. This individual will support customer site work in Huntsville, AL, designing and developing software to aid in the development, verification, and validation of threat models such as weapon systems, radar, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain M&S and analytic tools.
  • Develop and integrate software models into complex system-of-system simulation environments.
  • Develop and utilize tools to support radar, missile, and weapon system performance analysis relating to: detection, target discrimination, tracking, guidance, intercept, electronic attack/protection.
  • Advise hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems.
  • Analyze software program needs and assist in troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree required is a Bachelor's in a STEM field or equivalent.
  • Five (5) plus years experience performing software development in Windows and Linux environments using MATLAB, python, and compiled languages such as C/C++, Java, and/or Fortran.
  • Position requires strong analytic skills, and interest/experience in radar, missile, and/or directed energy weapon topics.
  • The candidate should be familiar with the fundamentals of distributed version control for software development.
  • The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • The candidate must have a current TS/SCI clearance with a DIA polygraph within the last 5 years.
