We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. Responsibilities- Obtain accurate patient histories and identify problems to present to supervising physicians.
- Chart patient information, including admission notes, history and physical examinations, and daily patient encounter notes.
- Prescribe medications under the supervision of a licensed physician, adhering to federal and state laws and regulations.
- Assist supervising surgeons in the operating room and assist with procedures in a procedure room.
- Manage post-procedure care, including writing post-operative notes and orders.
- Start IVs, insert foley catheters, and perform other clinical tasks as needed.
- Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Successful completion of an approved physician assistant program or graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of New Jersey.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification required.
This position will cover rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to multiple and changing priorities, with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
