Silk Blowout Stylist

We're looking for an experienced and skilled Silk Blowout Stylist to join our team at Pressed Roots. As a leading silk blow-out bar, we specialize in textured hair and offer a unique experience for our clients.

Responsibilities include performing flawless silk blowouts on all types of textured hair, educating clients on the art of textured hair care, selling add-on services and retail products, and providing a luxury customer experience through client interactions.

To succeed in this role, you'll need excellent customer service and communication skills, amazing styling and finishing techniques, and a strong work ethic with a go-getter attitude. Experience with the round brush technique is a plus, and you must be able to commit to a weekday PM shift and weekend shifts.

This role comes with a competitive salary of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for advancement, sick pay, health benefits, and comprehensive training on salon business operations.

Requirements:

• Current and valid Texas cosmetology license
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Amazing styling and finishing techniques
• Strong work ethic with a go-getter attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours)
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds
• Ability to reach overhead to perform styling & cleaning tasks
