About the Role

Arbour Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Partial Hospitalization Clinician to join our team in Lowell, MA. As a key member of our Partial Hospitalization Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals of all ages, groups, families, and couples.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct services to clients, including individual, group, family, or other authorized psychoeducational and case management services within the PHP program.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and ensure that any services delivered are within the scope of training, experience, and general level of competence.
  • Act as a liaison for children, parents, and MA level clinicians regarding behavior.
  • Lead check-in, check-out, psychoeducation, and lunch for all children in the program.
  • Oversee recreational activities and ensure client safety.
  • Assist with obtaining insurance authorizations and case management services.
  • Monitor child and adolescent groups and quiet room, ensuring client safety.
  • Assist in clean-up of therapy spaces.
  • Accept supervision and attend regularly scheduled team or supervision meetings.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the agency, community, and referral sources.
  • Oversee the ordering and availability of recreational supplies for program use.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related program from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of community-based and state agencies with regard to behavioral health services.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment and handling clients in crisis.
  • Nonjudgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency using problem-solving and practical skills.
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy, and insight.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of clients from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds.
  • Good time management skills necessary to maintain timely record keeping.
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation.
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation.
