Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Education Specialist to join our team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a Clinical Education Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting with in-service programs, orientation, and skills training for nurses and other staff members across all clinical areas of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of in-service programs, orientation, and skills training for nurses and other staff members.
  • Serve as a resource person to staff and management, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff development.
  • Assist with hospital orientation and employee health nurse as needed.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a current Registered Nurse licensure with a multistate compact status.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Clinical Instructor, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Certifications: Certification as an instructor with the American Heart Association in BLS required, PALS, and/or ACLS preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills

Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
