The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the storeroom inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory levels, perform routine cycle counts, and maintain a well-organized storeroom.
  • Supplier Management: Request quotes, review and negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of spare parts and services.
  • Order Management: Ensure all orders and requests are accurate and completed on time, expediting requests as needed.
  • Departmental Initiatives: Support the implementation of department-specific initiatives, such as storeroom organization and cost reduction programs.
  • Purchase Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase records, including items purchased, costs, delivery, product quality, and inventories.
  • Supplier Recommendations: Support the purchasing of new products and summarize supplier recommendations for company management.
  • Cost Reduction Tracking: Coordinate cost reduction tracking programs and report on data as requested.
  • Material Requirements: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate material requirements and communicate with suppliers to ensure order accuracy.
  • Purchase Orders: Complete purchase orders and ensure accurate invoice reconciliation.
  • Clerical Tasks: Perform assigned clerical tasks accurately and efficiently, including reports and spreadsheets.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the process for returning materials to storeroom stock inventory and ensure inventory sign-out sheets are accurate.
  • Data Entry: Enter parts/supply information into the database and perform routine audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Obsolete Inventory: Identify and work with the controller/maintenance and management for proper disposal of obsolete inventory.
  • Team Management: Manage team members, including interviewing, hiring, training, and developing; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance or a related field.
  • 5+ years of maintenance repair or related field experience in a similar industry.
  • 3+ years of stock maintenance for inventory and purchasing experience.
  • Supply system operation and performance knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, and engage a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage day-to-day operations and projects in a challenging, complex, time-sensitive environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and manufacturing operating systems such as SAP.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Internal and external customer focus with demonstrated sustainable performance.
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of all working processes and expertise in authorized levels of SAP software.
  • Ability to train and develop team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call as needed.
