Job Title: Senior Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans' Nursing Home in St. Augustine, Florida.

Job Summary:

The Senior Certified Nursing Assistant will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with feeding, hydration, and mobility as needed.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the primary nurse or RN supervisor.
  • Use proper techniques for mechanical lifts, transferring, turning, and positioning to prevent skin breakdown and falls.
  • Document all care given on the appropriate form or electronic patient care documentation system.
  • Respond to resident requests and needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Notify the nurse of any changes in the resident's condition.
  • Complete assignments from the primary nurse or RN supervisor within the time allowed.
Requirements:
  • Must be currently licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Florida.
  • Must be willing and able to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of employment experience in a long-term care facility (skilled nursing, nursing home, and/or assisted living facility).
