ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
- Prepare and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Implement safety protocols and perform quality control measures.
- Execute both routine and advanced imaging studies, assisting in various procedures.
- Identify significant anatomical structures, artifacts, and potential equipment limitations.
- Accurately position patients and select appropriate technical parameters.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all activities.
- Submit high-quality images and documentation to the PACS system promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the department.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
- One or more of the following credentials is required within 6 months of hire:
- Cardiographic Tech credential from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Cardiac Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credential from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
