Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Astrix Technology. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for determining the acceptability of specimens for testing, performing routine and complex technical procedures, and identifying and replenishing testing bench supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control.
  • Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, following SOPs.
  • Delivering accurate test results to supporting patient services.

Requirements:

  • Must have Bachelors Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
  • Previous training as a Medical Technician.
  • ASCP or AMT certification required.
  • Strong attention to detail and team oriented.
  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.
