Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Astrix Technology. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for determining the acceptability of specimens for testing, performing routine and complex technical procedures, and identifying and replenishing testing bench supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures.
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
- Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control.
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, following SOPs.
- Delivering accurate test results to supporting patient services.
Requirements:
- Must have Bachelors Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- Minimum 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
- Previous training as a Medical Technician.
- ASCP or AMT certification required.
- Strong attention to detail and team oriented.
- Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.
