Luminis Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing exceptional medical services to patients in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborative Care: Work closely with contracted physicians to provide supervised medical services to patients, adhering to established rules, regulations, and policies.
- Patient Education and Counseling: Provide education and counsel to patients, addressing their medical needs and promoting informed decision-making.
- Continuing Medical Education: Maintain current licensure and continuing medical education credits as required by Maryland State Law.
- Communication and Referral: Communicate treatment progress with individuals responsible for patient care and refer patients to licensed physicians or other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field and graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
- Experience: Two years of experience as a PA/NP in an acute care setting required.
- Licensure: Licensed as a Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland or eligible.
Employees in this position may be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. The physical demands of this role include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
