Job Overview:Wedgemere Healthcare seeks a skilled Dietary Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of nutrition care plans for patients in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations. Your expertise will ensure that safe and accurate food service is provided to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and reassessments on all patients admitted to the facility
- Ensure proper completion of documentation (assessments, care plans, education, discharge planning)
- Prescribe nutrition therapy to meet estimated needs and monitor tolerance
- Provide ongoing reassessment to ensure optimal nutrition therapy is provided
- Participate with Interdisciplinary Team meetings to develop, implement, and monitor nutrition care plans
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in dietetics or nutrition related field
- Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Licensure and/or certification from the State Licensing Board for Dietitians
- Food Protection Manager Certification from an ANSI-CFP accredited program
- Two years of experience in Long Term Care and Rehabilitation preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrates organizational and critical thinking skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions as necessary
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, word-processing and spreadsheet software
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
