About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Columbia Public Schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in improving the speech and/or language of students who have been identified with speech and/or language disabilities, or students with speech and/or language delays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide Evidence-Based Interventions in a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Framework
  • Collaborate with School Staff and Parents to Implement Therapy Strategies
  • Assess and Diagnose Articulation, Voice, Fluency, and Language Disorders
  • Provide In-Service Education and Serve as a Consultant to Teachers and School Staff
  • Maintain Thorough Records of Students Referred, Screened, and Receiving Speech-Language Therapy
Requirements
  • Advanced Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Missouri Professional Licensure in Speech Language Pathology
  • Eligible for a Speech-Language Pathology Student Services Certificate
  • Effective Human Relations and Communication Skills
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a school environment that is frequently noisy and active. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
