Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer will perform routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations according to department policies and procedures. Effective communication with radiologists is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, transporting them if necessary, reviewing exams, filing work, restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and participating in quality assurance functions.

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate will have graduate-level education from a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography program or equivalent experience.

A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate (Ob-Gyn) or Abdomen from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers is required. Additionally, a Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) and Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire are essential qualifications.

In this role, you will utilize diagnostic equipment, imaging systems, and healthcare computer software daily. Strong customer-focused service skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills are vital for success.

We prefer candidates with minimum one year's experience performing ultrasound exams within the last three years. Vascular Ultrasonographer experience is highly desirable. Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, and adaptability are key qualities we seek in our ideal candidate.

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
