Corewell Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team in Dearborn. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will provide leadership and expertise in clinical pharmacy activities, promoting safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in controlling and maintaining the pharmacy drug budget by ensuring appropriate medication formulary use.
- Provide quality patient-specific pharmaceutical care, documenting interventions and outcomes.
- Develop and oversee data collection and review for drug utilization review, quality improvement, and adverse drug event reporting.
- Participate in direct patient care, providing drug information, interventions, and recommendations based on current evidence-based practices.
- Assist in coordination, development, and assessment of organizational quality improvement activities.
- Participate in the development of processes for safe administration, storage, distribution, preparation, and use of medications.
- Contribute to the clinical development, training, and education of students, pharmacists, and residents.
- Participate in the review, detection, and prevention of medication errors and adverse drug events.
- Pharm.D. or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
- Preferred residency training or 3 years of relevant experience as a clinical pharmacist.
- LIC-Clinical Pharmacist and LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance licenses in the State of Michigan or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
Full-time position with a day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Corewell Health is committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment.
