About the Role

Vantage Point Solutions Inc is seeking a highly skilled Customer Contact Specialist to join our team. As a Customer Contact Specialist, you will play a critical role in educating customers on broadband services and discussing fiber placement and connection processes with owners of residential homes and small businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route and Determine Fiber Placement: Utilize your knowledge of maps, drawings, and diagrams to determine the most efficient fiber placement routes.
  • Review Permits and ROW: Ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary permits for fiber placement.
  • Professional Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Recording and Relaying Field Records: Accurately record and relay field records to the Outside Plant Department.
  • In-Person Face-to-Face Interaction: Engage in in-person interactions with home or business owners to discuss fiber placement and connection processes.
  • Travel: Travel to various locations to conduct field work.
Requirements
  • Valid US Driver's License: Possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Map Reading and Understanding: Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for fiber construction.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for periods of time and perform physical activities such as bending, standing, climbing, and walking in construction areas in excess of 10 hours a day.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills to communicate complex information to customers.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to understand and operate technology and applications such as Microsoft Office 360, Smartsheet, and various device applications.
