**Job Summary**

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Monitor Technician to join our team. As a Tele-Sitter Monitor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct continuous observation of assigned patients to meet their safety needs.
  • Verbal redirect patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors and summon nursing staff as needed.
  • Communicate patient changes or family concerns to licensed personnel and share pertinent information with oncoming monitor staff.
  • Maintain visual contact with assigned patients at all times and respond to patient requests as able.
  • Coordinate breaks with the healthcare team to ensure continuous observation.
  • Identify patient care needs or emergency situations and notify appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Document patient information as required.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills, reading, and writing abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with patients and staff.
  • Basic computer operations skills, including Microsoft Windows.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
  • Previous direct patient care experience.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
