Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Travel Nurse RN to join our dedicated team at St Michael Medical Center. This role focuses on providing exceptional care in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU.
  • Maintaining compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Experience Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role.
  • An active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification.
  • A valid nursing license in Washington or a Compact License.
Work Schedule

The position entails:

  • 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
  • Weekend shifts required every other week.
  • Floating to other units as necessary.
Unit Information

Details about the PCU:

  • Located on the 6th Floor with a capacity of 32 beds.
  • Patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:3-4.
  • Utilization of the EPIC system for patient management.
  • Support from Nurse Aides with a ratio of 1:8-12.
Patient Demographics

The unit typically handles patients with:

  • CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, and chest pain.
  • Acute and chronic renal failure.
  • Respiratory distress and DKA/HHNK.
  • Cardiac conditions pre and post various procedures.
