Job Summary:

As a Tester Apprentice at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, you will play a critical role in the development and production of high-quality gun systems. Your primary duties will include receiving and inspecting weapons, weapon systems, and documentation prior to testing. You will also assist in setting up targets, positioning and setting up weapon systems, and conducting tests on all weapon and weapon systems. Additionally, you may be involved in assisting Quality and Engineering in investigating failures and assisting in the assembly and repair of mechanical/electrical assemblies, structures, gun systems, or devices from formal or informal drawings and other forms of instruction.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform receiving and inspection of weapons, weapon systems, and documentation prior to testing
  • Assist in setting up targets, positioning and setting up weapon systems
  • Conduct tests on all weapon and weapon systems
  • Assist in investigating failures with Quality and Engineering
  • Assist in the assembly and repair of mechanical/electrical assemblies, structures, gun systems, or devices

Requirements:
  • Previous experience with electro-mechanical assembly and interpreting drawings is preferred

Working Conditions:
  • May involve limited travel to assist in demonstrations, engineering tests, or off-site projects
