Aquatic Educator

Teach group and private swim lessons to participants of varying ages, experiences, and abilities at Penn State University.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Instruct group and private swim lessons adhering to American Red Cross standards and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment by identifying and mitigating hazards.
  • Communicate progress and provide feedback to participants as needed.
  • Manage disagreements and model positive relationships with patrons.
Required Qualifications:
  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Basic Water Safety Instructor certification.
  • American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Penn State University Bloodborne Pathogens training.
  • Criminal and FBI background checks.
  • Ability to work variable shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Compensation:

$12-$15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
