Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MEP Estimator to join our team at Project Support Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for MEP systems, ensuring accuracy, uniformity, and completeness throughout the process.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures.
  • Analyze drawings and specifications, conduct site visits, and perform material takeoffs to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • Prepare complete cost estimates for building construction, with a focus on MEP estimating.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of recent professional experience in preparing complete cost estimates for building construction, with 5-7 years specializing in MEP estimating.
  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
  • Expertise in theories, principles, and practices of cost estimating and contract pricing.
  • Proficiency in Design Build, Design Bid Build, and Job Order Contracting forms of contracting.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, local labor, and material costs.
  • Extensive experience in developing and estimating change orders.
  • Familiarity with Prevailing Wage/Union Labor rates, NECA, MCAA labor productivity, and tools such as RS Means, Accubid, Trimble MEP, or Bluebeam Revu.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
