Job Title: Behavior Intervention Specialist

QSAC Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Day Habilitation program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism and their families.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement behavior support plans to promote valued outcomes and improve communication, socialization, and functional skills.
  • Conduct assessments and analyze data to inform treatment decisions and monitor progress.
  • Train and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and provide direct instruction on goal implementation and proactive/reactive strategies.
  • Collaborate with program supervisors and staff to ensure effective communication and resolve behavioral issues.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized plans.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a human services field (e.g. sociology, special education, rehabilitation, counseling, or psychology).
  • 1-2 years experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA) supports for individuals with autism.
  • General knowledge of theories and principles of behavioral analysis, assessments, and goal development.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism.
  • Clean and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights and 20 lb items.
  • Ability to run when needed.
