Position Summary:
The Cardiac Sonography Specialist will be responsible for conducting Trans-thoracic and Transesophageal echocardiograms. This role includes the accurate processing of reports and performing additional tasks within the diagnostic cardiology department. The specialist is expected to adhere to scheduled times and deliver high-quality imaging. In instances where high-quality images cannot be obtained, collaboration with colleagues is essential.
Qualifications:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Registered Vascular Technologist through Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- A minimum of one year of experience in various echocardiography modalities.
- High School diploma or GED; a degree in sonography with a focus on cardiology is preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
