Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery components, and perform repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and other mechanical systems.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
  • Perform building maintenance, including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
  • Assess and repair electrical issues as they arise.
  • Utilize our CMMS system to log labor and parts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts, as required.
  • Participate in our on-call program and be available to work additional hours as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree in maintenance-related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a metal manufacturing environment; ability to troubleshoot preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for metals manufacturing.
  • PLC experience preferred.
  • Ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools.
  • Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent walking, standing for long periods, and use of arms and hands to feel or reach. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and may work with materials that could irritate eyes, skin, and breathing. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
